About GHC

Counselling for folks seeking emotional support, greater understanding of self, and an increased sense of well-being.

My approach to counselling integrates and blends strategies from Emotion Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Self-Compassion, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Somatic EMDR work, CBT, DBT, ACT, yet is always rooted in

person-centered therapy.

We all walk different paths, and arrive at destinations in various ways.  I will meet you where you are, and as we work together, despite the route taken, it will always be in a safe and supported environment.   My life experience, my training , my empathy and compassion is something we will be able to lean into along the way.

 

About the Counselling Process

Life can present various challenges, and seeking help can be a hard step AND together we can explore your thoughts, emotions, and concerns. Whether you’re struggling with relationship issues, anxiety, depression, grief, or any other issue, I am dedicated to providing you with the professional help, and the kind ear  you deserve.

 

Counselling sessions are a space for you to talk, reflect on your current thoughts and feelings or share your goals. I know it can be intimidating to willingly walk into vulnerable conversation with someone new. I’m here for you to explore the life you are living, have lived, or desire to live.   


Therapy will vary for everyone depending on your needs and goals.  Your autonomy and self determination through the process is always paramount.
